Since 2022 we have been working in collaboration with the Republican Seismic Survey, Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, to investigate the distribution of active faulting, and to determine potential for earthquakes along these structures.
We are combining field geology, laboratory remote sensing, and also the analysis of sub-surface geophysical data to examine the details of the active fault strcuture, and their rates and evolution through time.
